Privacy policy
This policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit this site or buy The First-Year Dachshund Plan.
1. Who is responsible
Nils Enders-Brenner, Luswiese 6, 82327 Tutzing, Germany, hello@dachshundplan.com.
2. Server log files
This site runs on a server rented from IONOS SE, Germany. Every visit is written to a log file: IP address, date and time, the page requested, status code, amount of data, the referring page and your browser's user agent. We use these logs to run the site securely and to find errors. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working website). The logs are deleted after 14 days.
3. Purchases through Stripe and Link
When you buy, you pay on a checkout page from Stripe. The merchant of record is Link, LLC (United States), a Stripe company, through Stripe Managed Payments. Link processes your email, billing country, payment details and order, sends your receipt and handles taxes and refunds. We receive your email and order details to deliver the plan and to answer questions. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the contract). Stripe and Link process data in the United States and elsewhere. Link's privacy policy: link.com/privacy. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy. We keep order records for as long as tax and commercial law requires (up to 10 years).
4. Meta Pixel
This site uses the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. The pixel tells Meta when you view this page, start a checkout or complete a purchase, so we can see whether our ads work and show them to people who are likely to be interested. For this, Meta processes your IP address, browser information and identifiers stored in cookies on your device, and may link them to your Facebook or Instagram account. For collecting and passing on this data, we and Meta are joint controllers under Art. 26 GDPR; Meta is responsible for everything that happens afterwards. Meta may transfer data to the United States; Meta Platforms, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our interest in measuring and improving our advertising). You can object at any time, for example by blocking cookies in your browser or adjusting your ad settings at facebook.com/adpreferences. Meta's data policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy.
5. Microsoft Clarity
This site uses Microsoft Clarity from Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. Clarity records how visitors use the page (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement) and shows it as heatmaps and anonymised session replays, so we can see which parts of the page are unclear. Clarity uses cookies and device information. Clarity masks anything typed into input fields before it is sent. Microsoft may transfer data to the United States; Microsoft Corporation is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our interest in improving the page). You can object by blocking cookies in your browser. Microsoft's privacy statement: microsoft.com/privacy.
6. Email
If you write to us, we use your email and message only to reply. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We delete the conversation when it is finished, unless we must keep it for legal reasons.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability (Art. 15 to 20 GDPR). Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object (Art. 21 GDPR). Just send an email to the address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
